Thanks everyone! "Catch" us in Creston!

Thanks to everyone who came out and/or sent good wishes and/or got lost trying to be supportive last night for the premiere of Sweet Sorrow Productions and Catch. I am constantly in awe of our amazing arts community and their generosity. It was wonderful to see faces I hadn't seen in a while and meet new friends as well. Thank you all for helping this production team on its journey to Creston next week. But please don't wish us any more broken legs! Chris' mom, Karen Cresswell, our ballroom dance instructor, and her broken foot were enough!

The Taming of the Shrew

Petruchio and Kate - photo Lindsey Burnett The Taming Of The Shrew is William Shakespeare’s comic romp about two unmarried daughters of a wealthy Italian merchant. Older sister Kate matches her gentle and loveable sister Bianca in beauty, but in temperament leaves much to be desired with her razor tongue and strong will. Though Bianca has many suitors, her father will not allow her to marry until Kate has a husband of her own. No one dares to marry the foul-tempered Kate until Petruchio arrives and tries his hand at courtship. Then the real fireworks begin. The battle of the sexes? There really is no contest, is there?
